Inkwell The Biologic

Antagonist, cynic, idealist, and stoical poet are just a few of the adjectives used to describe hip hop artist, Inkwell the Biologic. With his razor sharp wit and feet planted firmly in the roots of change, Inkwell wanders his stomping grounds of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with group mates WindchILL and Big Gard to form the highly respected group Artists Over Industry. 2008 is the year of the Biologic with Ink’s highly anticipated debut solo LP, "Better or Different" released on Independent hip hop label: STLP.
Growing up in a rural area outside of the Keystone State capital, Inkwell the Biologic spent more time crafting his mind and penning intricate life tales alone than drowning in the typical small town pool of ignorance and fear. While others run from life’s discrepancies, Inkwell stands statue-still with one intention: Truth. From the oval office to inner self, Ink’s pen is merely the tool he bleeds through for all to learn from.

All personal data aside, Inkwell’s also no stranger to the Pennsylvania underground hip hop scene. From house parties to packed venues, Inkwell attacks the stage with a militant stance without using scathing personal shots to intrigue his audience. He has shared stages with such national recording acts as: Method Man, KRS-ONE, The Pharcyde, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killah, and Louis Logic & JJ Brown to name a few. Aside from being a lyricist, Inkwell is also highly skilled in photography, graphic design and has built a concrete foundation as an active contributor of Harrisburg based Indie label, STLP.

Inkwell the Biologic’s influences to create his politically tinged hip hop are not limited to just music. Eastern Philosophy, Dutch Masters, an unjust system that caters to those who fuel it, and his undying need to create tangible evidence of his existence, all play a role into Ink’s words. And one can never forget their hip hop roots, Ink’s musical influences range from the sultry Nina Simone to raw pre-Stillmatic Nas.

A man of very few words, often seen head buried in the big picture, a Black and Mild hanging from his lip intently, Inkwell the Biologic is not here to waste hip hop’s precious time. The LP "Better or Different" is merely a small stepping stone in Inkwell’s lake to true freedom from self and everything man made. Along with label mates WindchILL, Big Gard, and Apollo’s Sun, Inkwell is here to redefine the current state of artistic expression back to it’s true essence beginning with the now and ending with the last breath his tired lungs retrieve.
